Dynamic Women of Faith 2025

The Dynamic Women of Faith Conference arrives every March, ushering in the spring with a fresh wave of inspiration.

This year marked my second time attending, and it was truly a Holy Spirit-filled event—overflowing with wisdom, encouragement, and moments for deep reflection. Our Catholic Moms Group at St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church filled two tables, making the day even more special. For me, the highlight was having my mother join us, sharing in this incredible experience.

The day began with Mass celebrated by Bishop Kasun, whose homily on the Prodigal Son pierced the heart. Witnessing so many faithful Catholics receiving our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and seeing the long lines of women waiting to receive healing in the Sacrament of Reconciliation was, in itself, a living homily. There is a hunger for our Lord and His Word; our souls long for Him and ‘pant for you, O God’ (Psalm 42:1).

The lineup of speakers was both powerful and moving. Annie Karto, who traveled all the way from Treasure Island, Florida, captivated us with her story and her beautiful voice. She led us in singing ‘Overshadow Me,’ inviting the Holy Spirit into our hearts. One word from her talk stayed with me: overflow. Our Lord is so generous that from His heart flows springs of Divine Mercy. Annie reminded us that even in our darkest moments, He is always there.

Following Annie, three of our own Catholic Moms Group leaders shared their testimonies of how God has been working in their lives and how this ministry has provided them with community, consolation, and encouragement. Through heartfelt storytelling, they shared how God had called them—whether to become stay-at-home mothers, welcome another child, or start a Catholic Moms Group. A common theme resonated in each testimony: the Catholic Moms Group ministry, with its community and enriching materials, was instrumental in helping them grow deeper in their Catholic faith and discern God’s will. Thanks to the courage of our very own Dr. Alexandra Zyla, we have a group that continues to foster and support this journey of faith.

One of the day’s most breathtaking moments was a surprise, world-class violin performance by Carina Charmaine Sandejas from Stand Firm Worship—a stunning combination of beauty and prayer.

The conference continued with powerful insights from esteemed speakers. Dr. Josephine Lombardi shared her wisdom by guiding us through the Our Father as a model for our lives. Dorothy Pilarski delivered a brief but powerful challenge, encouraging us to embrace the virtue of long-suffering.

Dr. Stephanie Kafie inspired us with five ways to live out ‘Totally Yours,’ urging us to radically entrust ourselves to Jesus through Mary and to surrender both the little and big decisions of our lives to God. Fr. Marcin, with his unique background as both a priest and a midwife, engaged the audience in a dynamic discussion about fully embracing our feminine genius. Finally, Lisa Canning wrapped up the day with five practical ways to discover joy even in suffering, leaving us with a call to action: What is the next step God is calling us to take?

This conference was a feast for the senses—beautiful to behold, uplifting to hear, and deeply moving for the heart. There were opportunities to purchase excellent Catholic resources, engage in meaningful conversations, and be nourished in both body and spirit. The underlying message was clear: surrender to God and remain open to His will, especially in times of hardship. It was the perfect event to recharge our Lenten fervor and set us ablaze with His love.

Since attending the conference, I have felt a restlessness stirring in my heart—a persistent question: Lord, what do You want from me? And yet, His answer is remarkably simple and profound: Love your family well, serve your mothers’ group, and find My will in the duty of the moment.

My family is also on the cusp of a significant transition—we may be moving! With any big change, temptations against trust arise. The challenges of motherhood, especially with three children under four years old, make me hesitant to take on more. Anxiety and insecurity sometimes cloud my heart. Yet, the message woven throughout the conference speaks directly to my place of vulnerability: Surrender to Me. Do not fear. I am with you.

The witness of so many Catholic women—serving, trusting, and surrendering to God in the unique hardships and seasons of their lives—is a healing balm to my soul. I feel so blessed to be part of my local Catholic Moms Group, where this fellowship is available regularly, and to have the opportunity to attend the Dynamic Women of Faith Conference, where we see the vast and beautiful work God is doing on a larger scale.

Come, Holy Spirit! Will you take the next step? We would love to see you next year!

A special thanks to Krystyna Zasowski, who lent a helping hand throughout the day and is a blessing wherever she goes.
