Betsy Andreu was embroiled in a public confrontation with a powerful and world-famous professional athlete. For over a decade she suffered tremendously because of her refusal to back down from her convictions. She prayed ceaselessly, turning to St. Padre Pio and St. Therese of Lisieux, praying that the truth would get out. Betsy has become an internationally recognized voice in the global battle against doping. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. Betsy and her husband Frankie Andreu have been married for 20 years. Her talk will help girls see the importance of having conviction and moral courage in their everyday lives.

Monica is a university student at Ryerson in the Professional Communications program. She loves to skate, dance and create videos for social media. Recently Monica traveled to Europe, attending World Youth Day in Krakow. In her talk Monica will discuss how juggling her homework schedule, two part-time jobs and managing different relationships has left her stretched. Learn 3 simple tips to handle stress and more!

Juliana Markelj is a grade 12 student and the eldest of 5 children. She has participated in “LEAD”, a youth leadership program, and is actively involved in youth ministry at her parish. Juliana hopes to combine her love for science and teaching in her post-secondary studies.

Mary Reis is a business professional who spent most of her career at Nortel. Currently she is a Senior Manager, Executive Compensation for Loblaw Companies Limited. Mary ran a local chapter of TREnDS for the last 10 years and hosted mother and daughter fashion shows. She hosts a monthly Mothers Group for young moms in her community. In her talk she will highlight 3 great fashion tips!

The Power of Prayer

Kimberly Go is the newly appointed Youth Minister at St. Edward the Confessor Parish in North York. Aside from her work in ministry, Kimberly is passionately involved in her studies at Regis College at the Toronto School of Theology. One of her most ardent pursuits in theology is the via pulchritudinis, the way of Beauty, as one means of evangelizing the culture.

First Comes Love, Then Comes…

Lisa is a graduate of the University of Toronto. She is part of a team at the Office of Catholic Youth at the Archdiocese of Toronto who are serving the archdiocese in an initiative called RE:GENERATION. The primary focus of this dynamic group is to promote authentic love while teaching Theology of the Body in the GTA. Lisa is also a co-founder of a local women’s ministry called Made4More. Living in a culture where order seems to have gone amuck, Lisa will challenge us to think about the phrase, First Comes Love, Then Comes….
